Candy Buffet Baby Shower by Elvira of 3D-memoirs | DeCuir Details and Design.
A snazzy DIY girl baby shower soaked sugar and spice and everything nice. With the pink leopard print and zebra stripes this DIY party screams out to those mama fashionista’s and those with the weakness to listen to their sweet tooth as well. With all of the adorable little DIY projects, this is a great party theme for a baby shower with a candy buffet.
The little things are what make the party, and it all starts with the invitation. The creator of this setting got her inspiration from cute invitations that was purchased at party city. With Zebra stripes and leopard print as the patterns, and fuchsia, pastel pink, white and black as a color palette these opened a wide door of possibilities but it would be hard to find a good balance but not here. Using a white table cloth really counteracted the brightness of all the pink and the few spots of black brought a great amount of contrast.
I do believe that out of everything I love all the DIY projects. Being a DIY fan seeing a new way to balance this specific color palette was a good refresher and gave me some great ideas. The little jewels on some of the vases was a lovely touch on the designer’s part. I also liked how she didn’t leave the back wall empty but put some fans up putting little ‘It’s a girl’ in the center. This style could easily be adapted for a boy by taking out the pinks, and putting blues. After all, the entire baby shower is really for the mom not the baby. The leveling of the table and the balance of all of the decorations was simple and elegant but also giving off a fun vibe, while showing sophistication and flare.
