What a fun party theme! The vibrant color palette is so pretty and cheerful. The baby blues and yellows look really sweet against the mostly white background. The picture table with the welcome balloon arch is adorable. I love the idea of using craft paper into circles on cloths lines with little pegs to identify the pictures that commemorate the baby’s first year. What a fun and easy way to decorate. Having a special, decorated chair for the birthday boy is such a fun idea and I like how the ribbons on the chair go with the ribbons on the candy bar table. Using grosgrain ribbon trim is a fantastic way to jazz up a plain white tablecloth and it looks so lovely on the candy bar table. The chalkboard sign with all of the birthday boy’s current stats and favorite things is such a great idea for a kid’s 1st birthday party.
All the cookies and sweets are very cute and creative. One of the most creative being the rice krispie sushi and rolls. I thought they were real sushi with green beans and raw tuna filling sprinkled with tiny roe fish on the outside, only until i realized they were sitting on a tray of M&M chocolates and read they were in fact krispies! So unique, I will definitely remember this!
The cake with the fun koi fish decorations is only rivaled in cuteness by the cupcake and cake-pop stand. The cookies and cream cupcake with the chocolate and sprinkle dipped Oreo cookie looks scrumptious. The blue and yellow candies in the candy jars are a good way to present self-serve candies—it’s just like walking into a candy store. The cookie bouquet is so fun. The iced koi fish cookies are so lovely and beautifully detailed. They are my favorite. I love the thin scallops of white icing for the scales. They almost look too pretty to eat. They are really cleverly displayed in front of the fish piñata centerpiece.
