“You Are My Sunshine” Baby Shower by Valerie of Charming Touch Parties.
This cheerful and modern gender neutral themed baby shower is very adorable. It uses neutral colors of gray and yellow. The yellow and gray ribbon streamers on the background goes so well with the banners around the black and white chevron patterned backdrop. There is also an adorable mirror displaying the sun on the same back drop. Another adorable display of the color is the little edible flowers, with the pearl centers, placed on white cakepops. Another fun element I noticed was the tiny chalkboard that asks “Thirsty?”, that marks the area designated for the drinks.
The cake is just absolutely stunning. It is a one tier cake created by Bake It. At the bottom of the cake is a yellow ribbon circling around the cake. The rest of the cake is covered by white fondant and displays fondant polka dots in rows around the cake. On top of the cake lays edible ivory flowers in a tiny bunch. They look so delicate like the real flowers. The use of the fresh berries on the dessert table offers a freshness to the room, as does the greenery. The salads with the fresh berries and nuts, and the greenery add to the neutral feel of the space and offsets all the yellow in the room. The cute sunshine onesies and the cute ABC blocks make this party fit for the celebration of bringing a new baby into the world.
