A Beautiful Under the Sea Baby Shower by Jen Woolsten of Woolston + Grace Weddings.
Jen added more than just a touch of sophistication with her “Under the Sea” baby shower. Every aspect of the decorations were executed with absolute style.
The tables were circular, giving a nice fluidity to the seating arrangements. Each table was covered in a lovely pastel, striped linen cloth that added a touch of elegance. With white chiavari chairs accenting the tables, the look was very sophisticated.
Each table had a fantastic centerpiece of blue hydrangeas that really stood out without taking up all of the available dining space. Each place setting was decorated with a pink or blue napkin and a cute card with a whale soap bar, individually wrapped and tied with a bow that was adorable.
With a twist of creativity, Jen used glass Starbucks Frappucino bottles for the beverages. She added a lovely little label to each and straws with whales to make it personal.
Other decorations that were spaced around included a fantastic throw pillow with a whale on it, a starfish with a lovely note and a beautiful framed whale picture that now hangs in baby’s nursery!
For a fun touch of décor, onesies were pinned on a clothesline that had featured sea creatures like whales, octopus’ and seahorses. It was hung across a fantastic outdoor fireplace and added a warm sentiment to the event.
As an added decoration, poms were expertly hung along with crepe paper from the pergola, that gave a real balance to the elegant theme.
The final bit of perfection at this baby shower was the cake, of course. The cake was placed very well, with no detail left undone. With two cute, undersea blue layers, each had sea creatures placed perfectly and the cake was topped with a beautiful whale. This cake definitely added the finishing touch to this undersea party adventure.
