Ballerina Party by Liliani of Lima Limao. Thanks for letting me share these inspirational photos to my readers of baby shower lovers! They are truly beautiful. The dessert table is so beautiful. The cake is covered in delicate pink frosting and flowers and the miniature bonbons wrapped in frills, everything is exquisite. Even the party favors are noteworthy, held in small pagoda-style containers tied with a tulle bow and a ballerina shoe charm or white origami purses.
I love the color scheme of pink, white and baby blue. It is quite rare to incorporate blue in a ballerina party theme, I’m not so sure if I have come across one until now! Take notice of the backdrop of the dessert table. White wooden fence with doilies effect and the soft pink paper lanterns floating about. The lace table cloth works so well with all this too. The theme has a bit of shabby chic feel as well with the doilies, lace and the shabby chic floral patterns used throughout especially on the invitation cards, favor boxes and labels. A really nice way to add a feminine touch to the theme. I like the matching color of the pink paper honeycomb on the food table as well. I’m glad to say that Liliana has a shop at etsy, where she sells many of the items she used for this amazing ballerina party. Especially the paper honeycomb, balloons and the square favor boxes.
However, the most interesting aspect of the whole assortment was the props used. Incorporating a doll’s play set into the arrangement was genius: the bed, side table and opened doll’s closet acting as trays, holding a collection of cupcakes and bonbons. Adding small hangers holding pink tutus into the closet and dressing up the drinking glasses in tulle so they resemble ballerinas was truly inspired. The overall effect is sweet and elegant, and will be enjoyed by all the guests.
