Modern Black and White Baby Shower

With impeccable taste and sophistication this sweet gathering was styled and designed by the fabulous Christian of Something Chic. The stark contrast of black and white always makes for a smooth looking venue and this was no acception. The style and detail of this Modern Black & White Baby Shower party was brilliantly executed.

The dessert table was a gorgeous display of edibles that just called to be tasted. A sweet backdrop of sheer white cloth patterned with adorable black polka dots set the stage for an elegant and classy table layout. A twist on traditional balloons was created by using jumbo balloons to add dimension to the table while not overtaking the other delectable details.

The table was layered with a white cloth, ensuring that all of the goodies would stand out brightly. A marvelous banner was created flag-style and clothes pinned on a lovely black ribbon. Each flag held a letter and a cute background of black polka dots, matching the backdrop nicely.

An assortment of snacks was provided to ensure each guest would be happy and full. Cupcakes were deliciously made and had adorable white polka-dot patterned cups to hold them. Frosted to perfection and topped with adorable baby onesies, they had that personal touch that makes a party stand out. Other tasty options included white cherry brownies, vanilla meringues, and chocolate truffles, yum!

The cake was a vision of simple elegance, frosted in white and displaying three layers of decadence.

Guest tables were also perfectly arranged with the blending of black and white with the dishware, giving that sophisticated look that was being sought after. Sweet bouquets of little white flowers made the perfect centerpieces for this family style set-up. The backs of each chair were also decorated with cute little pom banners that alternated black and white poms.
