A simple and light brunch out in the sunshine is a great way to celebrate an upcoming baby, and this is exactly what CAKE. did with this baby shower event. The theme was airy and fun, with declarations of “Hooray” being posted around the party, making it a motif all its own.
The food was perfect brunch fare, with delectable peach bellini’s in glass flutes and an even dose of sugary and healthy treats alike. Granola, yogurt, and a fresh assortment of dark berries were provided for guests to make their desired cups of delicious yogurt parfaits, while sugar cookies frosted in mint icing and the word “Hooray!” were available to enjoy nearby. Tartlets, miniature cupcakes, and macaroons were presented on cake towers of gleaming ivory, and in the middle of a rustic wooden table was the simple, yet delectable cake.
A simple, round, one-tiered cake frosted in thick, decadent chocolate and topped with a banner reading “Hooray!” was perfect for the baby shower brunch and paired perfectly with the refreshing bellini beverages.
The décor for the shower was equally crisp and happy, with table setting cards celebrating the mother-to-be, and centerpieces of pale pink roses in small jars painted in mint hues. Other centerpieces boasted a flair of the upmost creativity, with tall, vintage glass milk jugs filled with tassel ornaments in mint and jade colors.
Yellow and white striped napkins were rolled up at the place settings and tied with a cloth mint-hued bow, while the tablecloth itself was a simple, yet elegant white cotton with lace inlays and intricate embroidery. To pull everything together, confetti pieces of bright yellow and jade were sprinkled along the tables for an extra dose of pretty.
