Melissa from the Cake Angel was given the opportunity to help in creating this lovely Whimsical Pink and Gold baby shower, putting together an elegant and fun event to remember. The invitations really introduced the theme nicely with an array of entertaining fonts and patterns that could easily draw attention in.
With a fun decoration of onesies and ribbons strung across the room this party had an almost vintage feel to it. Right off the bat the guests got to build their own Italian Soda, an innovative idea that let everyone feel involved as soon as they came to the party.
There was a fantastically framed chalk board that had all of the important information about baby-to-be for guests to check out and with a strand of banner flags hung underneath, this decoration blended nicely with the whimsical theme.
The dessert table definitely embraced the theme from top to bottom. With a white cloth for a base, the flag banner hanging across the front of the table stood out brilliantly. The entire table was covered in separate layers, creating a very full and detailed effect. There were several vibrant floral arrangements that brought a natural touch to the table.
On favorite detail was the gold-painted mason jar with gold silverware that really stood out and enhanced the theme fantastically. There was also a delicious looking cupcake tower that was chalk-full of tasty treats for the guests and all were frosted to perfection. With such innovation as homemade oreo cookies, this party really had it all.
As a finishing touch for all the guests to remember this event, each one got to take home a homemade marshmallow treat that looked super-tasty. Each treat was wrapped in clear plastic and clipped closed with an adorable clothes-pin and a personal tag showing appreciation for everyone who came.
